Global Coffee Report Magazine Shoot

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Global Coffee Report Magazine for their cover story photoshoot. I had the opportunity to photograph UCC Coffee CEO, Paul Molyneux, in their lovely showroom. As a coffee enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

The shoot was an exciting challenge, aiming to capture the essence of Paul Molyneux's leadership and the brand identity of UCC Coffee. The editorial portrait style was chosen to reflect his professional yet approachable nature. From the start, I wanted to create images that felt both polished and genuine.

Walking into the showroom, the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted me, and it immediately set the tone for the day. The space was beautifully designed, with natural light streaming in through large windows. It was a perfect setting that exuded warmth and sophistication.

As I began setting up, my goal was to use the showroom's natural features to enhance the shots. I carefully positioned the lighting to highlight Paul Molyneux while complementing the ambient light. This approach allowed the images to feel authentic and not overly staged.

Engaging with Paul and the UCC Coffee team was one of the highlights of the shoot. Their passion for coffee and dedication to their craft were truly inspiring. Throughout the session, we shared stories about our love for coffee, which added a personal touch to the professional environment. This connection helped in capturing genuine expressions and moments.

Each click of the shutter was a dance between precision and spontaneity. I aimed to capture Paul in moments of thoughtfulness and interaction, showcasing his leadership qualities and approachable demeanour. The images needed to convey the essence of UCC Coffee's commitment to quality and innovation.

When I saw the final images printed in Global Coffee Report Magazine, it was immensely rewarding. The photographs captured the essence of UCC Coffee and its leadership, showcasing the company's commitment to excellence in every cup. The magazine layout further enhanced the visual appeal, making it a standout piece that Iā€™m incredibly proud of.

Reflecting on this experience, I feel grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a prestigious publication. It reinforced my passion for editorial portrait photography and my appreciation for coffee culture in London. Each shoot is a new adventure, and this one was particularly special.
